RE: North Fork Elementary Board Report

School Improvement Focus
Our teachers are continuing their efforts to enhance math instruction and interventions with the ReadyMath curriculum and ongoing training. A key challenge is addressing the diverse learning needs of our students while maintaining a strong focus on grade-level core standards and curriculum. To meet this challenge, teachers are engaging in weekly planning and collaboration sessions. We are eager to see the results of our middle-of-the-year benchmark testing as it will reflect the tremendous growth our students are making. Progress reports have been completed and will be sent home next week.

North Fork Recognition
Our 4th-grade students have been diving into the Medieval History of Europe and the Middle East Unit. Today, they celebrated with their annual Medieval Fair, an event filled with hands-on learning experiences. Students explored Roman numerals, practiced calligraphy, and studied castles. The day concluded with a lively Medieval Market, where students used currency earned from classroom jobs and assignments to buy and sell their own creations. This exciting event was supported by teachers and staff across the building, and we were especially honored to welcome Mayor Dinehartt this year.
