Subject: Financial and Enrollment Report
I am currently working on the year-end financial statements. There are many accounting entries made at year end that affect the September month-end financial reports. For this reason, I have not provided the September Budget Status reports this month, but I will provide them next month. I am also working with Frontline to get our Budget Management Analytics models built for this year. Having that system back at such a reasonable price will be really great in the future. Starting with the November financial statements in December, I will be providing projected revenues, expenditures, and ending fund balance. The year-end report (which includes August) will be presented in November.
I have attached the enrollment reports for October. The average FTE count for October is 8.48 greater than budget. However, the October count is 22.29 greater than budget and up 27.62 students from September. You can see by looking at the headcount sheet that we are up 31 students since September and up in every grade level except 3rd grade and 10th grade. This includes being up 12 students at TEAM High. This is great news as the basic education enrollment affects so many of our revenues. This month is the first month that I included the Special Education numbers, since the Special Education average is based on the months of October through May. We are down 9 students at the PK level, but these numbers always increase as the year progresses. We are only 3 below at the K-21 numbers, which also tend to increase as the year progresses. For this same time last year we were 9 below budget and ended the year 1.13 over budget.
