We have had a great start to our second semester here at WMS. We are proud to announce that our Trojans finished up Semester 1 strong. We are proud of the individual accomplishments of all of our Trojans, but we wanted to be sure we recognized those students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher with our specific honor rolls. Those totals are as follows:

Honor Roll (3.0 or better)

  • 5th - 102

  • 6th - 111

  • 7th - 119

  • 8th - 106

Principal's Honor Roll (3.5 GPA or better)

  • 5th - 74

  • 6th - 68

  • 7th - 78

  • 8th - 72

Our 4th Annual Trojan Family Night is happening on 2/23/2023 from 5-7 PM here at WMS. Our Instructional Coach, Tara Eilts, our teachers, and the staff have put together an awesome night for all of our Trojans and their families. We will have specific rooms with different activities ranging from Lego Cars, Moon Phases, Scavenger Hunts, STEM Challenges, Escape Room, Art, Strength Tests, and more for all of our families to have some fun and learn a lot! There will be many booths available for families to find out more information about our programs, clubs, and opportunities to get involved at WMS! Additionally, families have the option of dropping younger siblings off to play in the mezzanine of our Green Gym, and child care will be provided. We also plan to serve dinner of hamburgers, corn dogs, and salad for our families. We are excited to celebrate this night of learning with our Trojans and the community!

We also wanted to inform everyone that musicals and student drama performances have returned to WMS with Giants in the Sky!!

Interested in seeing a Giants in the Sky performance? You can buy tickets online!The Woodland Middle School Drama Department will perform Giants in the Sky during three showings:

  • Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 4 at 6 p.m.
Giants in the Sky is the story of... The world of Giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain, and paint the sunsets. But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked-up “beanstalk” and embarks on an adventure down below!
