FBLA
During a normal school year, our FBLA students would take over our entire campus and host the SW Regional Leadership Conference. This year, everything was done virtually. As challenging as it is to do the things we do purely online, FBLA was still able to place in the top 5 for the following events:
Auto/Welding
The Automotive Maintenance classes have been working/learning how to follow a schematic, solder a circuit together, how to strip, crimp, and wire basic 12-volt circuits.
The Metals classes have been designing projects to be cut out using the CNC plasma table, CNC laser cutter/engraver, and/or the 3D printer.
The Auto/Welding club is still recruiting members and fundraising planning for basic vehicle service (oil change, brake check, tire rotation, other fluid checks, tire pressure check).
Culinary Arts and Early Childhood Ed.
Culinary Arts students are preparing for the return to school and working in the kitchens by reviewing procedures, safe food handling, and the kitchen setups. They will be working on garnishes and plating in the first two weeks back.
Early Childhood Ed. students are currently working on toddler development. Next, they will move into infant development.
STEM/Applied Math
We recently completed a boat project. The picture included here is a student creation of recycled materials holding 1.5 pounds of rubber.
The video attached is the second semester final for Applied Math that has recently been finalized.
