Each school year the Woodland School District Board of Directors reviews and approves our Highly Capable (Hi-C) Program. Last year our Hi-C program was reviewed and approved 10.8.18.
Previously, our goal has been to implement systems to identify more accurately students who are Highly Capable. Having made significant strides in identifying more Hi-C students, our next step was to clearly identify guidelines and processes for implementing Hi-C effectively and equitably. I am pleased to report that Woodland School District has laid the foundation for effective improvements in our Hi-C program, thanks to the diligent, conscientious work of K-4 Principals Ingrid Colvard and Denise Pearl, Columbia Elementary Instructional Coach Pat Jones, and the team of K-8 Hi-C teachers.
