Pursuant to and state law it is required that the school board take formal action to accept final school construction projects. This declaration is required prior to final payment. As you are aware there been delays associated with the landscaping at Woodland high school that has significantly delayed final acceptance. It is highly unusual to have final acceptance a full two years beyond substantial completion.
With the completion of some final grading and installation of sod, the architect has determined that the project is finally complete.
