On September 12, 2011 the board approved a resolution that, among other things, directed the superintendent to work with an ad hoc citizen's advisory committee to the board that would study the need for a new high school, to be located on the district-owned Dike Access Road property and make recommendations to the board regarding scope, timing, and process steps for such a high school.
Beginning on Wednesday, September 28th, and for several Wednesday's following the committee, chaired by Paul Cline and including community members Nincy Trevena, Don Stuart, Randy Sorensen, Nick Massie, Noel Johnson, Jerry Huston, Luke Miller, Ben Fredricks, and Ellie Gillaspie met and came ton concensensus on the items requested by the board.Ìý Also involved on the committee were Superintendent Michael Green, Principal John Shoup, Facilities Consultant Doug Nichols, and Directors Tina Cayton and Bill Woodard.
Attached to this document are several items that should be reviewed by the board prior to Committee Chair Paul Cline's Monday presentation.
