Approval of Evergreen Public Schools 49th Street Academy Program Agreements

Re:  Special Ed Contracts with Evergreen Public Schools

As you may recall we began contracting with Evergreen Public Schools 49th Street Academy program that specializes with students that have severe behavioral and/or developmental challenges.  This is a very different program from Fir Grove as it is designed for students with low cognitive functioning and severe behavior issues.

We have 2 students currently attending this program.  We will submit for safety net funding to help offset the costs.  I recommend we accept the contracts for these services as they offer an important placement option for these students as we don't have the capacity to serve them properly in our district.

 

 

Administrative Recommendaiton /MOTION/  I move we approve the interlocal agreements with Evergreen Public Schools for service of two students at the 49th Street Academy as presented.
